I stitch onI14 count Aida. Dirty Linen is a favorite color. I wanted to add that I learned from Vonna Pfeiffer on here that you can use a chopstick and poke the stuffing into the corners to make it a nice finish. I am watching everyone's videos to learn all I can. Thank you for mentioning using interfacing on the back of the plaid fabric. It is usually thin...so this helps.
I had trouble with this piece....using the called for Davos 18ct and my stitches are too big using 2 over 2 and the get lost using 1 over 1.....how did you do yours wihich is beautiful BTW
Carol I couldn’t stitch on the called for fabric either! I tried and tried bcuz I bought it specifically for this project but I eventually gave up on it and switched to 28 count tea Monaco evenweave and stitched 2 over 2 and the process was so much better for me. Thank you for your kind words about my stitching!

What fabric did you stitch on? It looks lighter than the Putty Khaki the pattern calls for
I was interested to see a lighter stuffing…it seems suitable for the piece. Good to know!
